A letter from Brion Gysin at 135 rue St. Martin, Paris, France to Roger Knoebber in Berkeley, California.

This reads:

135 Rue St. Martin
Paris 4
2 April 82

Dear Roger

Can’t imagine why your letters didn’t get through. I’ve been here 5 1/2 years now & must have given you this address – however I’m delighted to be back in touch & hope your travels will bring you to Paris.

Wm. is in the Kansas countryside shooting chipmunks P.O.B. 147 Lawrence 66044

I’m in touch by phone with a young fan in S.F.: David Wells, 1416 Grant Ave. (94133) I’ve lost his phone number but he calls every week so he may have [?]. Or not?

Reminds me that I lost my old address book in Morocco 2 1/2 years ago. Explains why I haven’t written to you.

I was in N.Y. last Oct. Nov. trying to find better singers for my songs on the record: SONG with Steve Lacy sextet. David Wells has one.

You’ll find me changed but my life not changed enough. I’m just as hopeless about money as ever. Hopeless case.

If you have a “wire” to phone Wms. number is 913.843-65.80 & mine is 271-87.17 here in Paris.

Love
Brion
