A typed letter from Roger Knoebber to the Ambassade du Royaume du Maroc [the Moroccan Embassy], Paris, dated 9 February 1993. This letter includes handwritten annotations and corrections by Roger Knoebber, and is typed on the back of a sheet removed from a comb-bound notebook.

This letter notes that Roger Knoebber received an invitation from Bachir Attar of the Master Musicians of Jajouka to come to Morocco for the Aid-el-Kebir event, between 25 May and 4 June 1993. Roger solicits material support from the Embassy to record and write about the event. Roger mentions Brion Gysin, Paul Bowles, Espace Electra, Steve Lacy, Ornette Coleman, and the Rolling Stones in this letter.

The archives acquired this letter from Anne Goyal. Anne received it with another letter from Roger Knoebber shortly after they were written, as Roger asked her to help translate the letters into French.
